Types of forklift bearings
There are many types of forklift bearings, which mainly include four first-level classifications: ball bearings, roller bearings, roller bearings and sliding bearings, which are further subdivided into 18 second-level classifications and more than 40 third-level bearing classifications. These bearings come in hundreds of models and specifications based on the needs of different tonnages and models of forklifts, masts, transmissions and other parts. Specifically,the types and application areas of forklift bearings are as follows:
Ball bearings: Including deep groove ball bearings,can withstand radial and axial loads,are widely used,have high-speed rotation performance characteristics.
Roller bearings: Suitable for forklift engine systems, such as tensioners, idler bearings, and transmission systems, such as needle roller bearings, tapered roller bearings.
Roller bearings: Mainly used for forklift front axle chassis, including hub bearings, angular contact ball bearings or deep groove ball bearings, suspension bearings such as thrust ball bearings, thrust needle roller bearings, and steering gears bearings.
Sliding bearings: Used in certain specific parts to provide smooth relative motion and reduce friction and wear.
In addition, deep groove ball bearings are common among forklift mast bearings, and are favored for their excellent load-bearing capacity and stable operating characteristics. Common model specifications include 6204 and 6305 models of deep groove ball bearings, as well as other special types of bearing units, such as bearing units with square seats and round seats, to meet different forklift mast structure needs
