Non-contact Seal For Ball Bearings

Dec 28, 2019 Leave a message

Commonly used non-contact seals include gap seals, oil ring seals and labyrinth seals. Due to the gap, in addition to the oil ring seal, non-contact seals are mostly used for grease lubrication. In order to improve the reliability of the seal, various types of seals can be used in combination.

Since the non-contact sealing device does not have any friction other than the internal friction of the lubricant at the sealing gap, the non-contact sealing will not cause wear and tear, and it will not produce obvious after long use Temperature rise, suitable for places with high speed. However, the gap of the seal cannot be too large, otherwise the sealing effect is extremely poor.

Non-contact seal for bearing parts:

1. Gap seal: simple structure, can meet the requirements of sealing under general conditions. The choice of gap e is d≤50mm, e = 0.25 ~ 0.40mm; d> 50mm, e = 0.25 ~ 0.6mm.

2. Groove seal: The groove is filled with grease to make it difficult for dust to penetrate. There are two types of ring groove and spiral groove. There are generally three ring grooves. Groove width b = 3 ~ 5mm; groove depth t = 4 ~ 5mm.
